DealDesk sends limited product telemetry directly to PostHog to help Launchdesk understand feature usage and app reliability. Events may include app opens, local workflow usage, category filter usage, saved or opened candidate actions by source/category, app version, build number, operating system version, device family, anonymous install ID, and refresh timing.
DealDesk does not send search text, email address, precise location, contacts, advertising identifiers, exact deal titles, or exact deal URLs in telemetry events.
Saved candidates, shopping-list items, deal-check plans, compare sets, local deal drafts, hidden local deal preferences, and alert preferences remain on the user's device. On the DealDesk website, saved deals are stored only in the visitor's browser so the shortlist can be reopened on the same device without an account.
DealDesk may earn a commission when a user chooses to open some merchant purchase links. If affiliate links are configured, the destination merchant or affiliate network may receive standard click and purchase attribution data.
